Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2017
The 22nd annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival kicked off on August 31st and will run a record 75 days through November 13th. This famous festival is a fantastic opportunity for guests to sample food, wine, and beverages from 35 different marketplaces located around Epcot’s World Showcase. Visitors will also enjoy the Eat to the Beat concert series and a variety of demonstrations and seminars that will take their culinary knowledge to the next level. You'll be able to experience most of the festival with your regular Walt Disney World tickets, but you will need to pay for your food, drinks, and some of the demonstrations and premium events. You'll find plenty of free things to do though, including book and bottle signings, meet and greets, and more.
A variety of Demonstrations and Seminars will be held at Epcot during the festival for an additional charge. You will find Beverage Seminars where you can taste and learn about wine, beer, and spirits. Attend Cheese seminars with world-class fromagers that teach you about cheese-pairing. Check out Culinary Demonstrations with professional chefs who share their tips and tricks while you enjoy a sample of what they’ve prepared. The Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Seminar gives fun, hands-on experiences with activities such as cake decorating and mixology. Start your day off with a celebrity chef sharing tips and tricks while you enjoy the chef’s favorite dish at the What’s Cookin’ With….Reservations are highly recommended at any demonstration or seminar.
Back to Basics is a weekend series that offers tips and tricks from culinary professionals that will change your meals from ordinary to extraordinary! You also have the opportunity to get books and bottles signed by culinary professionals. Sessions are held at the Festival Center Spotlight Stage on Fridays through Sundays at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Some of the 2017 presenters include AMERICAN HERITAGE® Chocolate, Minus 8 Vinegar, Blue Diamond/Almond Breeze, and Twinings™ of London.
