Epcot’s Hidden Treasures

Planning a trip to Disney? Be sure to put Epcot on your list of parks to visit. Epcot has so many cool attractions to explore, and AAA Travel has a few suggestions on hidden treasures you won't want to miss. Take a look at these "must see" stops in World Showcase and Future World on your next visit.

Matsuriza in World Showcase – Beneath the famous 5-story pagoda in Japan Pavilion, you will experience the sound of Taiko, a traditional Japanese ceremonial drumming. The Matsuriza ensemble consists of dancers performing in sync with distinctive musical arrangements. These instruments are so powerful that you can hear them all across the World Showcase Lagoon. The show lasts for 15 minutes, and you can catch it several times throughout the day.

Mexico Pavilion in World Showcase – Regardless of when you visit, it's always twilight in Mexico, where the smoking volcano and Grand Mayan pyramid set the tone. As you stroll through the pavilion, shop around for Mexican jewelry, clothing or leather goods, while taking in the sounds of a mariachi band. Keep your eye out for Donald Duck who is often spotted in the shopping area signing autographs and posing for pictures. The younger guests will delight in the Gran Fiesta Tour starring the Three Caballeros before enjoying a family meal at La Hacienda de San Angel.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends in Future World – Your beloved friends from the Disney Pixar hit, Finding Nemo, are waiting for you. Join Dory and Marlin and go under the sea to find Nemo, without getting wet! At the end of your journey, the Finding Nemo characters will join real live sea creatures in the massive aquarium, where you can learn more about marine biology. This slow-moving ride is appropriate for guests of all ages.

The "Mom, I Can't Believe It's Disney!" Fountains in Future World – As the temperature rises on a steamy afternoon, take a reprieve in one of two Future World fountains. Don't be intimidated to join the younger guests as they splash, jump, and dance through the water. Remember to pack an extra set of clothes you can change into after you cool off. You will certainly feel refreshed at the fountains before heading on to your next attraction.

Club Cool in Future World – Club Cool is your answer to the muggy Florida heat. Step inside and enjoy refreshing Coca-Cola products from other parts of the world. Some of the choices include Beverly from Italy, Vegeta Beta from Japan, Kinley Lemon from Israel, Mezzo Mix from Germany and more. Although the portions are small, the drinks are unlimited and free! At times it can get crowded, but people typically move in and out quickly.
