This week, we’d like to take a look at one of the most knowledgeable and talented techs in the car care industry, none other than AAA Carolina’s own Don Schweisthal.

Since 2012, Don has helped sustain AAA’s outstanding reputation for car care with his extensive auto repair experience and hospitable customer service. So we decided to catch up with Don to hear some of his personal car care tips and what he thinks makes AAA Car Care the best in the industry.
 
AAA: What does the AAA Auto Repair Program offer?
DS: AAA Car Care offers complete auto repair services performed by trained and certified technicians, with the best warranty in the industry—two years/24,000 miles on all paid services. All of these services are delivered by front staff that is knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated to taking care of our members’ needs.
 
AAA: In your opinion, what makes AAA’s car care services better than the rest?
DS: In addition to our industry-leading warranty, we offer a shuttle service that can get you to work, home, or where ever you need to be while we repair your vehicle. If you decide to wait while your vehicle is being serviced, at how many other repair facilities can you book a vacation or get an insurance quote? Our Travel and Insurance departments can help you with either of those while we work on your car at one of our super centers.
 
AAA: What kind of fuel saving tips do you give drivers?
DS: Check your tire pressure, fluid levels, and alignment regularly or just come on into the Car Care Center where we’ll check them for you at no charge! Also, be sure to have your fuel system serviced once a year or every 15,000 miles. This helps to reduce the presence of fuel-absorbing carbon in your engine.
 
AAA: What is the best thing about being a part of the AAA team?
AAA Carolinas is a team that is dedicated to taking care of our members. I have worked for other companies throughout my years, but AAA Carolinas truly embraces the culture of customer service and member satisfaction.
 
AAA: What advice would you give someone looking for a car care service?
DS: Find someone you trust. Online reviews can be a good way to take the pulse of a repair shop when you may not have a friend’s or family member’s word-of-mouth referral.
