“I have been with AAA Carolinas for 11 years. I relocated to Rocky Mount, NC and visited the office. After meeting with the branch manager and discussing the possibilities, I knew that AAA would be the place for me. I had travel agency experience and was looking for employment.

My daily duties include managing all aspects of branch operations within a travel agency, travel store, and drive customer business. As a branch manager, I am responsible for all employee related issues such as hiring, assistance in training, monitoring, sales focus, vendor relationship building, and customer interaction. It is important to be visible to both employees and customers to enhance the member experience and show appreciation consistently.Because our branch operation also includes other business lines, I work with the regional insurance manager and agents to create and maintain a team environment. Along with employee and team work responsibilities, I also act as a business owner. I operate under my own financial branch budget and focus on sales strategy to build travel sales business along with membership growth.

I consider my work at AAA my lifestyle. It is not a job if you are passionate about the people. Our company focuses on relationships and values each customer. Because we are a membership organization, customers have a personal choice to belong and we as employees need to remind members with each interaction of why they should belong. The AAA brand is significant and working for an organization with such a trusted brand is key but AAA Carolinas is employee focused as well. The company invests in training their employees to position us to provide exceptional customer service and it shows in their commitment to continuous improvement. It is comforting to know that the company stands firmly behind the front line employees who serve our members every day.”
