The Celebrity Revolution is changing the cruising experience onboard Celebrity Cruises. If you haven’t sailed with Celebrity recently, you will likely be surprised at the cruise line’s ongoing extensive modernization effort.
More than $500 million of state-of-the-art upgrades are being added across the Celebrity Cruise line fleet for guests’ enjoyment, including Xcelerate Wi-Fi and RFID lock technology with digital key. The modernization movement started with the debut of Celebrity Edge in 2018 and has continued with the refurbishment of Celebrity Summit.
What can you expect now onboard the Millennium class Celebrity Summit? The enhancements go far beyond aesthetic upgrades. They now include new experiences, new entertainment, new food options and more. Here is a glimpse of what you can enjoy during an upcoming sailing on Celebrity Summit.
Redesigned Staterooms and Suites
A total of 30 new staterooms have been added to Celebrity Summit. The new rooms include 13 AquaClass Staterooms, seven Ocean View Staterooms and 10 Inside Staterooms.
Suite-class rooms continue to be among the staterooms in highest demand. With the multitude of amenities included for suite-guests, along with plenty of space to relax and enjoy life at sea, you can see why they are among the first to sell out. And there are a variety of suites in all price categories to choose from.
Even if you aren’t living the suite-life, you will be surprised at the modern and fresh cabin redesigns. Color palettes are soothing and neutral with lots of light woods and airy hues, including blush and pale blue tones throughout many of the rooms and dining areas.
Celebrity Summit is the first of Celebrity Cruises ships to feature a partnership with American Ballet Theatre. Entertainment on select sailings now includes a ballet performance partnered with a musical performance.
A new partnership with Chef Daniel Boulud, debuting first on Celebrity Summit, elevates the dining options for suite-guests and anyone booking the Chef’s Table by Daniel Boulud. The Michelin-starred chef is known for his flagship restaurant, DANIEL, in New York City. He also has a variety of restaurants around the world.
Boulud’s culinary designs with roots in French cuisine will be enjoyed in Luminae, the private dining experience for all suite guests. The Chef’s Table by Daniel Boulud will feature a five-course dining experience designed by Celebrity’s global culinary brand ambassador, as well as a private galley tour and a cookbook from the chef.
Restaurants, bars and lounges also have a fresh, reimagined feel. The Main Dining Room has perhaps the biggest transformation, going from dark heavy tones to a light, bright and airy two-story restaurant with soaring windows overlooking the ocean.
The Oceanview Café now features an open concept, with a stunning variety of food stations serving globally-inspired cuisine and healthy choices. Sunset Bar and Rendezvous Lounge have also been reimagined.
A new space just for suite guests, The Retreat Sundeck is a quiet getaway outdoors. Soak in the hot tub, relax in a cabana and enjoy refreshments in uncrowded exclusive seclusion.
In The Retreat Lounge, suite guests will find complimentary beverages, gourmet bites and concierge service available 24/7.
Spa and Casino
The Canyon Ranch at Sea increases its focuses on wellness, with an enhanced Persian Garden thermal suite with therapies such as a Turkish bath, infrared sauna and salt therapy. Opportunities for semi-private fitness consultations are now an option, as well.
In The Casino, cutting-edge gaming experiences have been added, along with a redesigned Casino Bar.
