For the last few months, the world has been clouded in uncertainty. After the first outbreak of Covid-19 in Wuhan, China, in January, the virus became a constant, almost impalpable presence in our lives.  

Eventually, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended high-risk travelers to avoid all nonessential travelThe U.S. cruise industry suspended operations for 30 daysWalt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and other major theme parks closed temporarily in March. Additionally, many corporations implemented work from home policies, states and localities limited public interactions, schools closed and public life was curtailed considerably. 

The travel industry has faced a number of crises including 9/11, the 2008 recession, the 2009 H1N1 pandemic (with over 12,000 deaths in the U.S. alone), the Ebola outbreak in 2014, Paris terror attacks in 2015, as well as various hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcano eruptions. As with previous events, this crisis will subside and we will be stronger because of it.
