The Carolinas offer beautiful coastline and mountains plus a multitude of adventure this summer. Here are some bucket list destinations in the Carolinas.

The Outer Banks in North Carolina has miles of immaculate beaches. With scads of activities for all ages, there's something for everyone. For the history buff in your family, make sure visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial (the site from where Orville and Wilbur Wright took their first flight) in Kill Devil Hills. You can also spend an evening watching the re-enactment of The Lost Colony.

Kitty Hawk is a town in the Outer Banks. It is 4 miles away from Kill Devil Hills and home to a wide variety of animal and plant life. There are numerous beach lodges available for rent. Kitty Hawk offers a year-round place to escape and relax.

In the mountains, Blowing Rock, North Carolina, is home to Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather's Mile High Swinging Bridge, and the Blowing Rock Art Museum. Ride the train, pan for gold with the family and enjoy the live music. After your Tweetsie adventure, check out the new High Gravity Aerial adventure. Traverse cargo nets and balance across log bridges. It's fun for the whole family.

Charleston, South Carolina, is known for its scenic downtown tours, cobblestone streets and horse drawn carriages.  Charleston offers culinary, plantation, walking and carriage tours and aquariums, parks, museums and so much more. Mark your calendars for the 3rd annual Charleston Water SportsFest, September 12th through 18th.

Downtown Wilmington in North Carolina is a great place to visit year-round. It has restaurants for foodies, shopping from local, eclectic stores, a battleship, The Bellamy Mansion and tons of pubs! Spend the weekend walking the riverfront or relaxing in one of the many accommodations available.

Visit the Lowcountry of South Carolina and start with Hilton Head. Filled with golf courses, kayaking and fishing opportunities, guided tours and beautiful beaches, it offers endless possibilities for everyone. Hilton Head is filled with history, beauty and charm. This South Carolina island is a must-see this year!
