If you're an animal lover, Animal Kingdom may be your favorite Disney theme park. From rare birds to giant gorillas, you will experience wildlife like never before. Represented by the Tree of Life, a massive artificial boab tree located in the center of the park, Animal Kingdom is dedicated to animal conservation and preserving the natural environment. AAA Travel would love to plan your next trip to Animal Kingdom so you can enjoy the magic of nature. Our Disney experts recommend the following attractions on your next adventure.

Festival of the Lion King in Africa – This exciting show celebrates Simba, and his quest to be king, with theatrics that rival the best of Broadway. Take a reprieve from the hot Florida sun and meander into the unsuspecting theater which quickly transforms into the African savanna. From the opening number to the last song, you will find yourself singing along to favorites like "Hakuna Matata," "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?", and "I Just Can't Wait To Be King." Artistic dancers, daring stilt walkers, and original characters bring the show to life and leave you feeling spellbound. It is a fantastic experience for guests of all ages.

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail in Africa – Take a self-guided tour of the Pangani Forest where you can get up close and personal with Africa's native wildlife. On your stroll through this lush forest, you are likely to spot exotic birds, meerkats, hippos, and of course, gorillas. Convenient observation stations are available so you can snap the best pictures of your favorite animals. The whole family will remember this wildlife encounter for years to come.

Kilimanjaro Safaris in Africa – A trip to Animal Kingdom wouldn't be complete without an open-air ride through the African Outback. On this 18-minute expedition, you will be able to catch a glimpse of real African animals in their natural habitat. The Harambe Wildlife Reserve is home to antelope, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, zebras, and more. You might even spot Baby Stella, a female elephant calf, who is now roaming the savanna. This guided tour can get bumpy at times so hold on tight to your camera, so you don't miss the spectacular photo opportunities.

Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain in Asia – The snow-capped mountains are home to the Expedition Everest train ride, a thrilling journey through the Himalayas. On this adventurous roller coaster, you will encounter the Yeti; a mysterious snow monster said to inhabit the Himalayas. Brace yourself for a fast-moving, unpredictable race through the dark mountains to escape the Yeti before he catches up with you. Loud noises and frightening effects may be scary for little ones, so this ride is best suited for older kids, teens, and adults. Guests must be 44 inches or taller to ride.

Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia – Explore the Anandapur Royal Forest where you will encounter ruins and wild animals in their natural habitats. Some of the creatures may include the Asian tiger, Komodo dragon, Malayan flying fox, water buffalo, and more. On your self-guided stroll, you can stop and learn more about your favorite animals and the conservation efforts to keep them safe.

Finding Nemo – The Musical at Theater in the Wild in DinoLand U.S.A – Enjoy this unique, musical version of Finding Nemo, with puppets that come to life. The innovative lighting, animated projections, and dynamic props transform the stage into an underwater wonderland. Sing along with Nemo and friends at this fun, 40-minute, family-friendly show.
